Coyne Launches “Prosper DuPage” Campaign
Naperville City Councilman Kevin Coyne will file as a Republican candidate for DuPage County Board’s District 5. Kevin has served on Naperville City Council since 2015 and previously served on Naperville’s Planning and Zoning Commission from 2010 to 2015. Kevin is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce and is a former Executive Director of the Naperville Last Fling. This year, Kevin Coyne was also named by Crain’s Chicago Business as one of Crain’s 2019 Notable Gen X Leaders In Law.
Kevin’s “Prosper DuPage” campaign will focus on 5 Policy Issues:
- Reduce Real Estate Taxes
- Fight Teenage Drug and Alcohol Abuse
- Advance Environmental Sustainability
- Create Blue Collar and White Collar Jobs
- Grow Economic Development in DuPage County
Kevin and his wife, Kim, have a 4th grade daughter enrolled in District 203. Kevin holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Iowa, law degree from DePaul University’s College of Law, and an advanced law degree in Real Estate Law from the John Marshall Law School. He is an attorney in private practice in a downtown Chicago law firm.
Former Illinois State Senator Michael Connelly will serve as the Honorary Campaign Chairman to the Coyne for DuPage campaign. Fmr. Senator Connelly will offer his experience as a Lisle Village Trustee, DuPage County Board Member, State Representative, and State Senator to the Coyne campaign. Coyne’s growing list of endorsements include DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin and State Representative Grant Wehrli.
